We focus on learning with reading at the heart of everything we do

wb 2nd July

An exciting summery week ahead at Rosedale so we're pleased the weather forecast is looking so good!

Tomorrow our Nursery children are going to Cleethorpes to spend the day on the beach. On Thursday the children in Reception and Year 1 are also going to be visiting Cleethorpes.

Some of the children in Year 1 have been taking part in a research project organised by Oxford University looking at using a maths iPad app. On Tuesday we have one of the researchers coming in to work with the children to see how the project has gone. We are enjoying getting involved in several different research projects across school as a way of us developing teaching in school.

At 5pm on Tuesday it is our Teddy Bears Picnic. Bring a picnic, a favourite book and a teddy. Please bring back your reply slip tomorrow if you haven't already so we have an idea of numbers.

On Wednesday it is the Summer Fayre from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. There will be a range of stalls and activities including a bouncy castle, face painting, products made by the children, refreshments and much more. We hope you can support this event as all funds raised are spent on things for the children.

Finally, on Friday afternoon it is the Children's University Graduation Ceremony at The Hub. Children involved will have received letters about this.

  • There are no events for the next 10 weeks.
