On this page you will find information linked to Early Years at Rosedale.
Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential. Children develop quickly in the early years and a child’s experiences between birth and age five have a major impact on their future life chances. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right. Good parenting and high quality early learning together provide the foundation children need to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up. (EYFS Statutory Guidance 2021)
At Rosedale Primary School we aim to provide each child with a safe, secure, nurturing and stimulating learning environment to enable each child to develop to their full potential. We promote children’s ‘school readiness’ by providing our children with a broad range of knowledge and skills that provide the right foundations for future school and life. We provide a secure foundation through planning for the learning and development of each
individual child, and assessing and reviewing what they have learned regularly and planning for their next steps. We promote partnership working with parents and carers and strive to work together by building supportive working relationships together. We promote the equality of opportunity, ensuring that every child is included and supported in the best way.
Our Early Years comprises of a Nursery class and a Reception class. We share an outdoor learning environment. We have a great EYFS Team at Rosedale, who have worked together tirelessly to create stimulating spaces for the children to learn within. We are really proud of our environment and it is a pleasure to see how much the children enjoy using it and how active, independent and engaged they are from the very start of Nursery through to the end of Reception.
