Y4 Cricket Festival

On Wednesday 26th April the school Y4 cricket team played in the Doncaster finals at Brodsworth Cricket ground with over 20 other schools involved. The school team played really well over the course of the day, playing in total 7 matches and eventually reaching the final where they played Woodlands Primary School. The school team eventually ended the day as runners up after narrowly losing to Woodlands Primary by 2 runs and finished as the best performing school in the Ridgewood pyramid beating Richmond Hill along the way.

All the children were well behaved and were a pleasure to take to such a large event in the cold windy conditions. A special mention has to go to Levi for producing some outstanding diving catches, Laban's leadership as captain of the team and some outstanding batting performances from Cody, Eboni, Lennon, Blake and Kenzie. Some excellent fielding and bowling performances from Alex, Geroge, Amber and Luke made it a real team effort!

Due to the success of the team we will be rewarding all the pupils involved with some silver medals and certificates in assembly as well as displaying the school's runners up trophy in the schools reception area.
