Well we've come to the end of the first half term of the year and it's been a great one. Children have settled well into their new classes and the first topics of our new Cornerstones Curriculum have been enjoyed by all.
Events coming up this week:
Parent Forum is on Monday at 3:30pm in the Infant Building. Please come along to chat about things going on at school and to share any ideas you have for improving things....
On Tuesday the NSPCC are coming in to do another assembly to thank the children for taking part in the Big Workout.
Year 5 are off to Eyam on Wednesday to launch their new topic, Peasants, Princes and Pestilence, which starts after half term. Also on Wednesday, Year 2 parents and carers are invited to our Biscuit Bridges event at 2:45pm to celebrate the end of this term's topic.
Halloween Discos are on Wednesday after school for KS1 and Thursday after school for KS2. Also on Thursday, Year 6 parents and carers are invited to a street party to celebrate the end of this term's topic.
Years 5 and 6 will be taking a team to Balby Carr on Thursday to take part in a football festival.
Finally, on Friday we are having a non-uniform day to raise funds for our School Fund. Please note that this is not a fancy dress day.
